Hi,
I am pulling my hair out trying to sort this.
A friend is running XP pro. on a dual-boot machine that
meets the HCL spec. Pre service pack 1 ( He does not want
to install service pack 1). The basic IDE drives are NTFS
and he logs in as himself with full administrative rights.
My problem is this: for some reason we are unable to set
the NTFS permisions for files and folders on any of the
NTFS drives. The option is not there in the properties of
the file or folder. When he logs in to 2k, the other
system on the machine, he has full NTFS functionality on
all NTFS drives and can set NTFS permisions for folders
that we can't on XP.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
