When you install Windows 2000, are you given a choice between NTFS and
FAT32, or do you have to install as NTFS?

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply.
Thought I'd install Windows 2000 and see how it runs on my machine, but
wanted to keep FAT32.

As long as the partition is smaller than ~32 gB you'll have a choice. NTFS
is the native file system of Windows NT/2000/XP/2003/Vista and is always
recommended.

You will be missing out on some of the stability and security enhancements
that 2k has to offer if you install it on a FAT formatted drive.
