NTFS encrypting folders

I changed from FAT32 to NTFS, I was under the impression that I could
encrypt folders, but when I go there it is greyed out. Did I miss something?

File encryption is a feature of Windows XP Pro, not XP Home Edition.

Brodie;
Encryption is not a feature of Windows XP Home, you need Windows XP
Pro if you need EFS.

What is the benefit of using NTFS instead of FAT32 for the home edition
then.

More security.
FAT 32 has no security.
