hi,
it is dependent on your accounting system. most of them
are either single or multi user versions. a single user
version can be set up on multiple stations but accessed
only one person at a time. multi user versions can be
used by multiple people at the same time (however cerian
modules may only be used by one user at a time). if oyu
use a single user version, you must pick one station and
file to use for all data storage. then on the other
stations, you must specify the path to that file
location. some programs may not let you do that with a
single user, and make you purchase the multi user
license. The best bet is to buy the multi user ready
version and buy the number of user licenses you need. I
am not affilliated with them, but we use Peachtree
complete accounting multi user, which is very powerfull
and easy to setup on a network. I have tried several and
this one is the best for the money.
