ntdll.dll crash in Powerpoint 2007

When inserting a .wmv video clip in Powerpoint 2007, a crash forces me to
leave to program. This occurs in safe mode also.
I get this error in the log:
Application Error Faulting application POWERPNT.EXE, version 12.0.4518.1014,
time stamp 0x45428035, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 6.0.6000.16386,
time stamp 0x4549bdc9, exception code 0xc0000374, fault offset 0x000af1c9,
process id 0x610, application start time 0x01c826b4f4712377.

I'm using a Dell Inspiron M1710 (XPS) with NVIDIA GeForce Go 7950 GTX
video card

Probably the easiest "fix" is to download and re-install Windows Media
Player. Let us know if that doesn't work.

Hi Austin.

When I did that I found that I had an even more recent Media Player than
the MS website had to offer, and it wouldn't let me continue. I haven't
found a way to repair/reinstall the Media Player in Vista.... it's not in
"Programs and Features" that I can see.

Anxious to fix this bug which will determine possible downgrade actions.

This is in Vista? You should be able to download Media Player 11 and
reinstall. I'll have a look at it this afternoon and see if I can spot the
problem.
