Don't know if anyone can help with this... We are getting
an error 8012 when trying to do a backup, using ntbackup,
of the system state on a windows 2000 advanced server that
is a DC. The result is that we are not able to backup
active directory.
The ntbackup log only tells you to look in the event log
for detials.
The error in the Application Log is as follows:
The 'Active Directory' returned 'Backup is already active.
' from a call to 'BackupPrepare()'
I have already checked the Microsoft Knowledge base and
came up with nothing. I checked for multiple ntbackup
processes running and there are none. Anyone have any
thoughts?
