NTBackup or WinZip - any opinions?

Hi,

Any thoughts on the relative merits of XP NTBackup as against a DOS
Batch file invoking WinZip, with a fixed list of files?

I'm looking for a simple data backup/archive process. NTBackup seems
over-engineered - in addition, it's unable to compress the data itself
(relying instead on this function being built-in to the output
hardware/media).

I've used WinZip (with the Command Line add-in) in batch mode for
ages, and had no problems. I've just been engaged by a client who is
having problems with NTBackup (XP Home) and I'm considering advising
them to use WinZip instead (they already have a registered
installation).

I'm open to persuasion here - any NTBackup fans care to try to convert
me?

I've been playing with NTBackup to try and convince myself of its
suitability.

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to amend the list of files to be
backed-up in an existing scheduled job?

Is it possible to create a "manual" schedule that can be run on
demand?

Does anyone have any kind words to say about NTBackup?
