Hi,
Any thoughts on the relative merits of XP NTBackup as against a DOS
Batch file invoking WinZip, with a fixed list of files?
I'm looking for a simple data backup/archive process. NTBackup seems
over-engineered - in addition, it's unable to compress the data itself
(relying instead on this function being built-in to the output
hardware/media).
I've used WinZip (with the Command Line add-in) in batch mode for
ages, and had no problems. I've just been engaged by a client who is
having problems with NTBackup (XP Home) and I'm considering advising
them to use WinZip instead (they already have a registered
installation).
I'm open to persuasion here - any NTBackup fans care to try to convert
me?
