Dan

I am developing an XP platform for a POS terminal. When I try to execute a
particular function using our proprietary software, I get the
BSOD which references NTAILIB.sys. I cannot find a reference to it, or
documentation about it anywhere. Can anybody tell me what this
file does? Why would it cause a BSOD? Is it in the original release of XP or
is it added in a later update or
service pack? Please help! Thank you.

Dan,

I have never heard of NTAILIB.sys driver. It is not an XPe/XP Pro SP1
driver, I think.
Could the file come with your proprietary software?

You may explore your sys file version header to see any useful info there.
You may also check your target Device Manager (or system registry hive) to
find any links to the driver file.
