Hi All,

I need to migrate my NT boxes (2 terminal servers and 2 'regulars') to
Windows 2000 server in the coming weeks. My terminal servers also act
as Metaframe Citrix 1.8 servers and I plan to continue using the those
machines as Citrix boxes (in the Windows 2000 form.) I'm currently in
planning mode and, therefore, am preparing to document and plan this
upgrade process. Are there any good web references out there that
details this process? Likewise, is there anyone who can share with me
their experience so that I can be aware of any caveats, gotchas and
more importantly, successes? Thanks in advance for your input!

Sincerely,
Billy Talton

While I haven't done this, I would suggest you think about
skipping Windows 2000 and moving to Windows Server 2003.
If you upgrade your OS, you'll also need to purchase a new
version of MetaFrame, since Metaframe 1.8 for NT won't run
on Windows 2000.

Maybe people have posted here with licensing problems, so
I would pay special attention to that. Also, if your
users are going to have their printers redirected by the
server, make sure you have that figured out before the
users really start pounding on the system.
