Hi,

I'm attempting to upgrade a WinNT workstation to XP Pro.
During setup, when it was trying to copy files, I kept
getting the message "Setup cannot copy file xxxxx. Press
enter to try again, ESc to skip, F3 to exit". This was on
some pretty important files (eg url.dll, urlmon.dll,
user32.dll). I tried skipping...and that led to a STOP
error (illegal relocate of system dll, moved system32
because user32 was in system space) ...tried booting from
CD & restarting the install, still failed, tried
installing to a different drive, still failed. I tried
pressing enter, and that seemed to work for some files (eg
url.dll) but after 5 minutes on user32.dll I gave up. Is
this a CD media problem?

Suggestions welcome.

Thanks,
Bill

Looks like a bad CD, dirty CD-ROM lens, something along those lines.
