Hi, I have a NT bdc server, NT pdc server and NT DNS/DHCP server. How can I go about installing AD? Which machine should be upgraded first? If I upgrade the PDC to Win2k only, will it still work until I get a chance to upgrade the DNS/DHCP to win2k? Any suggestions on how I can go about this?
Thanks in advance.

If you upgrade the DNS/DHCP server (to a 2000 member server in the NT
Domain) it will be ready for Active Directory. If you upgrade the PDC
first, you would have to install DNS on the PDC during the upgrade. So
the cleanest way is DNS/DHCP first, PDC second. That's the way I did
it.

I suggest that you may need to read the docs on www.microsoft.com
before you upgrade. And take backups, of course.

Cheers,

Cliff
