i'm having problems even getting the windows application up and
running long enough to run a virus check..whenever I click the anti-
spyware icon..it reads 'error 101' and with a few seconds there is a box
that pops up that says the computer will shut down within a minute and
reads 'NT authority/system...is there anyway to bypass this automatic
shutdown so that I can run a virus scan? thanks.

You probably have a RPC virus within your PC.

Download Stinger to clean up.

Start-run write "shutdown -a" without quotes to stop RPC
shutdown.

Go then to Windowsupdate and get ALL patches also SP2.

Use an antivirusprogram, updated !
