NT 4.0 Join AD domain

I just made a test that I try to use a NT4.0 workstation
to join a domain named "xx.AD.xxxxxx.com" (which is not
exist but we will use this name in our plan). However, at
NT4.0, I cannot type such a long domain name. What's the
problem or I made a mistake?

It is also a good idea to install the Active Directory
Client Extensions on any NT 4.0 machines you join to the
AD domain.
