WHY ARE YOU SHOUTING?

Post an ipconfig /all from your workstation and DC.
A list of forward lookup zones in your DNS server may give a hint, too.
Right now you don't provide a clear enough description of the problem you
are having other than to just say it isn't working.
What is an ISV?

THE ISP HAS NOT BEEN ANY HELP. I AM USING SBS 2003. WHEN I TYPE IN MSN.COM IN
THE ADDRESS BAR ON THE WORKSTATION I GET AN ERROR. WHEN I TYPE IN
164.109.46.217 I AM ABLE TO GET TO THE SITE. ON THE SERVER I CAN TYPE IN
MSN.COM IN THE ADDRESS BAR AND GET TO THE SITE.HELP!

Calvin,

Please, using all upper case characters denotes SHOUTING. Not sure if this
is from frustration or just not aware of the implications.

Anyway, that said, what exactly did the ISP change (assuming you mean ISP
rather than ISV)? Is your modem and router one unit or separate units? You
can try a different DNS server too to see if it helps. One we usually
suggest to try is 4.2.2.2.

Maybe in the router, there could be an MTU change, which can cause some
issues. If you have access to the router, you can determine that by logging
into it and checking the MTU settings.

2. list of forward lookup zones in the DNS Management console

This may not seem important to you, but it can very well hold the key.

Your keyboard's shift key is stuck, Biff.

Show us the full error message, in context.

You haven't told us where it *doesn't* work fine, nor what commands you
issued, nor what the error message actually was. I cannot speak for
others, but once again my clairvoyance is on the blink today. If you
want your problem diagnosed, you are going to have to give proper
information.

ISV = Independent Software Vendor
Internet Service Provider = ISP

<snip>

Thanks for posting that info. I already responded in the other thread as
well. I mentioned to remove these two DNS address:

DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 205.152.0.20
205.152.0.140

and remove them and only put in 192.168.16.2. You can do this by unchecking
'automatically acquire DNS configuration' in the IP properties.

You have mutliple search suffixes configured for this machine. See this part
below:

DNS Suffix Search List. . . . . . : CONSAFE.local
launchmodem.com

Now Kevin asked to show us the list of zones in your DNS under your Forward
Lookup Zones. Can we see that?

Also, since you say nslookup is "not working...", can you show us exactly
what commands and the responses you are getting that you believe why it's
"not working"?

Thanks
