Now getting red text. Also with balloon sayign "Deleted". I hit some keys
but don't know what keys. Cannot get around this!

Also commonly get selected text with F2 and have to close word and reopn to
cure - what does F2 do?

Can't do anything until this is fixed.

Thanks,

It's called Tracking mode... you probably pressed Ctrl+Shift+E. Press it
again to toggle tracking off.

If you're using Word 2007, look in the Review tab. If you're using Word 2003
or earlier, look at the Reviewing toolbar.

Thanks - I still had to select Final on the new toolbar. How do I get rid of
this thing completely?

Get rid of what thing? Tracking mode? It's a Word feature. You can't really
get rid of it. You can prevent Ctrl+Shift+E from toggling it by reassigning
Ctrl+Shift+E.

Look at the status bar at the bottom of the Word window. It will show
whether tracking it turned on. To remove it from that document,
click/double-click (depends on Word version) to turn tracking off. Then
accept all changes, and tracking is now gone from that document.

I had to go back to a previosuly saved document and the text came up red so
it is still interferring.

Yes, you can turn it off by simply toggling Track Changes BUT it doesn't
remove the changes that you have already inadvertently tracked. You MUST
ACCEPT CHANGES before you toggle Track Changes off.

You're wasting your breath, Terry. Jason is hard-of-listening and has not
read Shauna's article and is determined not to understand how Track Changes
works.

THATS CRAP! I've already done what Terry said. Also I hear music and
vodafones interference only since there is no sound there anyway!

Unless you are actually using the modem (quite rare these days <g>), I
suggest that you disable it in the Device Manager. If it still continues to
pick up interference, then physically remove it - if possible.

Then how would I be able to connect to the internet without purchasing a
wireless-N wap and card and using flats mate connection and pay the $400
disconnection fee?
