I don't know why this is turning into such a process but after reading some
other people's suggestions on how to remove defender, of which none worked, I
decided to just go in an manually delete the directory. At first it wouldn't
delete, but I eventually got it totally removed. (The reason I didn't use
the add/remove programs option is that the option was not showing) I went
back to try to intall beta 1 as I have had good luck with it, but now I can't
find it any place on the internet. I then tried to re-install beta two, but
I get the message "the system administrator has set policies to prevent this
installation. " I double checked to make sure and I do have administrator
privliges with my user name (im using xp home) . I can't find any place to
change these policys either. Any body have any ideas? I also tried to use
the system restore, and the computer said that it was unable to restore at
several different points I directed it to. Also, as I said before I have up
to date virus definitions with norton 06 av. Any ideas?
