Hi there

I don't know if this is the right newsgroup - But I hope someone can help
me.

I am normally a MS guy. But in this case I mean that Novell has made a nice
product. IFolder - makes it possible to access your documents from the web
and all over the world.

My question is - Does Microsoft has a product like Novell IFolder ? Is that
maybe SharePoint or Webdav ?

Regards
Henrik

"makes it possible to access your documents from the web
and all over the world." - What exactly do you mean by that? You can use
Remote Desktop or Terminal Services to access your desktop, and map your
hard drive to have access to all the files. You can use FTP to have access
as well. Is there a specific type or format of access you are referring to
in particular?

Sorry I diden't make it clear. But the issue is that IFolder makes it
possible to save your private files as you saved them local. IFolder creates
a Folder in your "My Documents". But it is saved on the Ifolder server. The
files is encrypted and secure. You can then access your private files from
other computers with access to the IFolder server - also from the internet
with a browser. That is something you could use - right ? I wouldn't but an
MS fileserver on the internet - Would you ?

Please see http://www.novell.com/products/ifolder/index.html

Can Microsoft match this one - do they have a product to do that ?

Regards
Henrik

Novell has some GREAT ideas and their equivalent is WebDAV I believe but it
is not secure. Terminal Services is you best bet.
