Frustrated Momma

I tried using susgestions,Hide Inactive icons, which was already a default in
there, and this icon only shows when you actually open your email. This is
not what we are looking for. We want to know if an icon would pop up to say "
you have mail".

There is another problem I have noticed, every time I check my email and
leave it at the bottom tray and check to see if I have new mail, there is
nothing, but if I close it and reopen it , there is mail, I just can't
understand why, I have to keep opening and closing email to get my mail. can
some help me.

Thanks in advance

Tools | Options | General. Send / Receive Messages area. Are all three
boxes checked? If Send / Receive @ startup is checked, but Check for
messages every XX minutes isn't, you will have to manually check for
messages, or opening and closing WinMail will check which appears to be
what you're seeing.

AFAIK, there is no third party app that will pop up and tell you there is
new mail. You can change the New Mail Notification sound, but that and the
icon in the SysTray is all you get.
