I have seen some applications display a 'panel' in the notification area
(used to be called the Systm Tray) when they wish to inform the user that
something has happened.
Examples include Microsoft Outlook - when a new email arrives a yellow panel
appears with the first sentence. Firefox - updates availables. Norton Anti
Virus - updates available.
I am not referring to a tooltip or the Notification icon/bubble but a panel
that scrolls up, displays some message and then scrolls down again.
How do you do this in .net? Is there a control (maybe 3rd party) or is it
custom drawing and API calls?
thanks in advance
