Hi,
Does anyone know if it is possible to get notification from Windows in the
event of change of CPU frequency driven by Enhanced SpeedStep technology?
It would be nice to hook a callback function to the event so that I would
know at any time what CPU frequency my laptop is running at.

Maybe not a "notification" but the intel frequency analyzer will give you
running specs of the processor.

This is not exactly I'm looking for, I need some sort of Windows API function
that I would register my callback function with and it would notify me on
CPU frequency change events.

First off, I've never had the need to use this program so I
wouldn't be able to tell you how well it works or wether it
would work on your model laptop. That said, it sounds as if it
may be what you're looking for:

Good luck
