notification in coming mail icon

pls adv how do i set this icon to inform me that there is an incoming mail while i am browsing other sites

also it seems that the mails does not come in automatically unless i click on rec/send butto

go to your e-mail site click tools options under general tab there is a spot
under send and rec put a check make in the box that says play a sound when
rec mail
