notification area

How can I remove programs from the notification area that
start up automatically when I put on my computer? I do
not want to hide them, but rather have them completely
removed. Anyone?

Look in the program's options for something like start with windows or
something similar and uncheck it. Also look in start\all programs\startup
and delete unwanted shortcuts from there. Lastly go to start\run and type
msconfig. Look in the startup tab for unwanted startup programs.
