How do I get rid of the icons in the Notification Area of
the Taskbar without uninstalling their respective
applications? I can't seem to find setup options for the
various applications that would prevent these icons from
showing up.

Right click the clock in the Notification Area, left click Properties, click
the Customize button, select the item in the Current Items list that you do
not want to show, in the Behavior field click the dropdown menu to the right
of that item, left click: Always Hide, click the OK button, the click the
Apply and OK button in the remaining window.

Hi,

None of the options listed below remove the programs mentioned, only from
the Notification Area and from Startup upon boot:

Check for an option to not having the icon load in the System Tray via the
program(s) in question.

Other options for removal:

Go to Start/Run and type in: msconfig. Go to the Startup Tab and uncheck
accordingly. Then run this script to remove the disabled items from the
registry.

Clear Disabled Items from Msconfig Startup (Line 148)

Or...remove the runkeys from here: Start/Run/Regedit
