I keep loosing the arrow and some of the icons in the notification area even
if I configure for always show. I intentionally put in as many as eight and
the arrow didn't come back. I also completely cleared the area via the
registry several times. Nothing seems to work and is consistant.
1. How do I keep the icons that I want in the notification box?
2. How do I keep the arrow there?
3. Why do the icons in the area go away and come back randomly?
Thanks,
Dr. Kay--

Hi Dr Kay,
Here are ten Tablets for you, take before eating with some water <G>
'Why don't my Notification Area icons show or why do they disappear?'

If the above prescriptions didn't help come back for renewal.

I definately need a renewal of the prescription. I knew about the marker
arrow but the main issue lies in icons going and coming randomly. Of primary
concern is my bluetooth connection. I can run the executible and put it
right back (which I do) but it is a pain in the butt (pardon the pun).
Any additional ideas?

I don't know if you tried this but worth a try;
... Right click the Start Button and select properties
... On the Taskbar and Start Menu properties click on taskbar Tab.
... Then opposite this check box:
[ ] Hide inactive icons click on [ Customize..]
There make sure the icon(s) you want is set to always show, how:
Highlight the Icon by clicking on it and select "Always Show" from the drop
down menu, does this help?.
Let us know.

Basic stuff-I tried it. I am looking for a more esoteric solution to my
problem.
