Noticing everyone has been having problems with installation!!

I have tried to find answers myself as to why Vista will not install to my
hard drive as well. I am well into the necessary requirements needed on my
system. However, I am not getting any answers as to what may be the problem
other than Microsoft. lol... What's new? My suggestion is.. forget about
installing a Beta version of something you are not going to have any support
for anyways. Wait until the final version hits retail stores. You will hear
about it on the news if the real thing sucks or not. Then you can make up
your own minds what to do from there.
 
Microsoft does not support betas the same as it does released editions.
Support is self-help through the ng's. At what point in the installation
are you encountering a problem? Are you installing from a downloaded image
file? If so did you burn it to dvd at a slow speed (recommended by MS)?
 
Most people -should- forget about installing BETA software, especially BETA
OS's. It took me one failed install to realize I needed to load my SATA
controller driver during install (shouldn't have even taken one install to
know that... I should've known that... but in my, er, haste to experience
Vista, I overlooked that important fact. To quote Ben Franklin: "Experience
is a good teacher but fools will learn no other way." or something like
that...).

Basically, as far as I'm concerned, BETA OS = 2 computers, one for your
"production" PC and one for your SkunkWerks PC. Sure, you can dual boot a
single PC, but then you've gotta boot between OSes if you have a problem. If
you have 2 PC's (at least) then you can always get to the NG or Google or MS
while you're wrassling with the BETA seat. Just my two cents...

Anyway... if you've already posted your hardware configuration and no-one in
this NG has offered up a suggestion or suggestions that -you've tried- and
those suggestions -did not- solve your installation problem... then, yeah...
wait for the retail version.
 
I did download the ISO for quick attainment of the OS. I will try to burn to
another DVD using the slowest speed and see what it does from there but, I
won't give my hopes up too high at this point. Thanks for the heads up.

ITS A ****ING BETA YOU MINDLESS MORON. It's not supposed to be fit for
everyday use. It isn't guaranteed to work for everybody. You won't find
drivers for everything.

Sadly it appears that there's many halfwits who don't understand what
BETA software is that have downloaded it this last week.

Still, more money for me sorting out the mess they make.
 
Not EVERYBODY has been having problems.

For myself the installation went flawlessly.
One hour from the time i clicked on setup to the time Vista was up and
running
 
Both x86 and x64 installed on my test box in about 40 minutes the first try,
so I have to agree with you. However, I had to fiddle with dvd burners and
burn speeds to get dvd's that did not crap out on me before starting.
