I have three computers on a network. They share a router and can all get on
the internet.

Two of them are xp homes and the third is a 98.

The 98 and one of the xp homes can see each other. The other xp home can't
see any computers in it's My Network Places.

The one with the problem did show them but they did not work so I deleted
them and re ran the wizard to setup the network. Didn't work.

I did a system restore. Still nothing.

I can ping the computers but cannot see them in the Network Places.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

I had the same problem when I first set up my wireless network and router in XP. If you are using the built-in firewall in the XP program (you need to check this, because when you set up a network, it will automatically set the firewall), you need to disable it in order for your computers to be able to see each other. Also, you need to make sure that all of the computers on your network are set to share files, even though when you try to do that, you will receive an XP warning window that this is not an optimal network configuration.
