you may have to open the online web with FrontPage, you just type the
http:// url of your site in the open web dialog box.
look and see if there is another default page besides your home page. it'll
probably be index.html or default.htm, something like that. rename that
file (I usually put a number in front like 1index.html). then close your
web. visit it with your browser and your homepage should show. if it does
you can delete that page you renamed online.
if it doesn't show up, come back and give the url of your online web.

Hey Chris, l deleted everything and republished it but is
now showing up as Index of\ and l have to click on those
items under the Parent directory to show the pages.

what is the name of your "home page"? you really should have posted the
url.
change the name of your home page to index.html locally then republish.

That means your home page is not properly named,
and you are viewing your web in ftp mode.
The "Home" page must be named index.html or default.html
depending upon the hosts server requirements.
