nothing happens after i logon

after logging on, background pic comes up but nothing
else. i bring up task manager and run desktop from
there. i get an error msg: /idlist,:0:1616,C:\Documents
it says there is a missing file. with different account
name it runs just fine. plz help me, its very frustrating

Log on as the Administrator and create a new user account. Then log on
as the new user and logoff again. Log on as the Administrator and in
the Control Panel > System > Advanced > User profiles > Settings copy
over the old profile to the new one. If all works well in the new
profile afterwards, use this user from now on and delete the corrupt
old user profile.
