Notes Pages

We are trying to add notes to PPT XP slides. While adding
notes to these slides some expand past the page. Is there
a way to tell PPT to expand the notes to a second page
WITHOUT duplicating the slide???
 
Nope. You can make the font smaller to allow more notes. But the better way
to do it is to use File-->Send to...--> Word with notes next to slides. This
will create a three column Word table with the notes in the last column. You
can then add as many notes as you want to any given slide. (You can do this
with notes below slides as well, but it doesn't look as nice.)

Thanks for the response!! WE are currently trying to move
away from that due to EXTENSIVE dynamic changes throughout
our building process. The PPT notes section really makes
it easy, only problem is that we are constrained by font
and NOT duplicating slides.

I can understand the frustration. The underlying problem is that notes
pages are, for all intents and purposes, slides in a different view. For
that reason, you can't have notes pages without slides.

That's not "strictly" true, Steve. You can make a
new "slide", go to "notes", delete the image of
the "slide" (which you don't want to be there), write what
you want, and in "sorter view", "hide" the slide. You will
have a second, or third... page for notes.

Still strictly true ... hidden slides are still slides. ;-)

Indeed it is! And thanks for mentioning it!
 
We have developed a solution, currently in beta. Basically it allows you to
simulate your Notes pages in Word, with as much space for the text for each
slide as you want.

So you can use 16-point Tahoma bold, double spaced, with each sentence
formatted as a separate paragraph (i.e. ideal for delivery when you have
lights glaring in your face).

100 pages per slide - no problem. Except perhaps for the audience.

The add-in affects only PPT - any recent version of Word can be used without
modification. The Word file can be written back into PPT. Then the next time
you open it up, it will reflect any changes to the slides.

It also means that one person can work on the presentation and another on
the script simultaneously. If the slides have changed, or even if the order
has changed and slides have been added or deleted, the script will still
find its proper 'home'.
