Notepad

Hey Support,

A Small Trojan was found attached to my notepad so I had to quarrantine it. I was wondering how to get my notepad back and if I would have to download it from somewhere. I can't find it on my Win XP Pro cd so please help.

Hi Andrew,

Start/run msconfig, click on "expand file" (general tab)

File to expand: notepad.exe
From: X:\I386
To: %windir%

Where X is whatever letter is assigned your CD drive (you need your WinXP CD
for this), change it accordingly. If your system was preinstalled, you may
find this instead on the hard drive under C:\Windows\I386. If so, change the
"from" line accordingly. Reboot when finished.
