Notepad

For the past two weeks or so whenever Notepad is opened to read a text
file such as .txt, .log, .ini, or .inf all lines of type are lined out
-- a black line through the center of the text. And these lines print as
well. All is OK if the file is read in Wordpad, QuickView, WordPerfect,
etc. What did I do to deserve this?

The solution was offered on another newsgroup to simply change the font,
then change it back, and all is OK.
