Notepad Tabs

I can't find anywhere how to change the
edit tab spacing in Notepad. Although
I didn't actually measure the spacing, it
appears that the default is about an inch.

Any suggestions?

I use Notepad+ an improvement over the standard Notepad that comes with
Windows. Notepad+ doesn't support variable tab settings and I'm guessing
the Windows version doesn't either.

Don,
I'm finding that Notepad in fact does not support
variable tab settings. I've also found that for the
current application that Wordpad will suffice and
it does support variable tab settings.

Just for my own information, I will have a look at
Notepad+.
