Notepad Tab Size

Is there is a Registry setting I could enter in for Notepad
to alter the default tab size? I am very comfortable with
editing my Registry so no worries about messing things up.

Thanks.

If you press TAB within Notepad the column position jumps
to 2. Now if I go to a new line and press space bar until
it matches with the size of the tab, the column then shows
9. So...

1 column is equal to 9 spaces in Notepad for me.

How do I shorten the length of the TAB so that it takes up
say 4 columns instead? Now, I know what you're probably
thinking. That I can just use spaces instead or download a
program to customize my TAB size but I want to work between
several text editors and having that TAB character in the
text file allows me to have a consistent column flow
through all my text editors.

Hope this clears up things...

I don't think you can change the Tab settings.
The Tab spacing depends on the letter(s).
The tab spacing is more for l than for m.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Notepad

I couldn't find anything, even in Notepad help. ;-(
