Does anybody know, which XPE component has to be added to have the editor
"notepad.exe" in the XPE image?

It lives in "Windows Accessories".

You can file components that own specific files by creating a filter in
Target Designer.

notepad.exe - Windows Accessories Componenet

You can use filter capabilities in Target Designer or Componenet Database
Manager to search.

Stas.

I tried Componenet Database Manager to search before writing my question to
the newsgroup. The search ends with a database error but does not show me
the component which includes notepad.exe.

I've never had a database error from searching. Something must be
wrong... what is the error?

You can find "Windows Accesories" on this folder:
Software - System - User Interface - Shells - Windows Shell

Maybe you've noticed that I also published a post about Notepad some hours
later than this post.

The problem I find is that in spite of including the "Windows Accesories"
component I can't see Notepad, nor Paint nor other accesories on my deployed
image.

It's not on Start - Programs - Accesories and I when I make a search I don't
get any hit for "notepad.exe"

Do I have to add any other component?
