Hi,

I created an image and copied notepad.exe and regedit.exe.
I have all the dependencies of the 2 executables but when
i run those, it gives me the following error

"The application has failed to start because application
configuration is incorrect.Reinstalling the application
may help".

I wonder what it means ? Is there any other component i
need to add to run these application ?

I appreciate your help.

Regards,
Sajith

Sajith,

The best way would be to add Windows Accessories ((Software:System:User
Interface:Shells:Windows Shell) and resolve all dependencies (you may remove
some unnecessary to you apps - Wordpad, etc.).

However, you want to reduce your image size... Not sure what caused your
problem but make sure you have (or add) "Win32 API - GDI" component
(Software: System: System Services: Base).
For Notepad I'd also suggest you to add "Shell Notepad Registry Data"
(Software:System:User Interface:Shells:Windows Shell).
Both components have visibility 200 so you may need to lower your visibility
level in TD.

Regedit.exe is under "Registry Editor" (Software:System:User
Interface:Shells:Windows Shell, Visibility 1000).

What do you mean by "lower your visibility?"
Regedit.exe is under "Registry Editor" (Software:System:User

John,

In TD go to Tools-->Options-->Advanced and change Minimum visibility filed
value under Component Visibility group. I'd suggest you to set it to the
possible minimum value = 100. This way you will see all the components in TD
(and filter, of course) that visibility is lower than the default visibility
level 1000.

Btw, in Tools-->Options-->Mode you may also want to switch to "Expert".
