notebook networking: wired vs wireless

The Sony VAIO notebook has both a wireless and a wired NIC.

The wireless part works flawlessly.

However, when I tried the wired network (DHCP), the default
gateway did not appear in "route print". The notebook did
get an IP and the DNS was correct, and I could ping the
notebook's wired NIC.

What should I do to fix it?

It seems that the wireless interface's default gateway
overrides that of the wired interface. I am unable to disable
the wireless interface.... :(

Right now, I am trying Vi$ta Home Biz.
(I will try the same thing on another VAIO with WinXP).

And here is `route print`:

Does your VAIO have a switch on the front to disable the wireless? Mine
(VGNFS980) does and the Dell I had for work had an Fn F-Key combination to
disable the wireless.

Just a thought.
