for you laptop owners with a dead pixel or two.
i have a new laptop with what i believe to be a dead or defective pixel. its
a black spot that is always black. AND it is not the same color black as
when the screen is off. i can actually see the spot when its powered off.
the other odd thing is that when i'm looking at the screen perpendicular to
its surface i can see this spot, like over some text. BUT when i change my
viewing angle, it moves away from its original location.
the way i noticed this was i moved a window with some text in it so that the
dot was in the center of the letter o. then i changed my viewing angle and
it moved away or outside the o. its as if the spot is located above the
other pixels.
does this sound like a dead pixel to you?
thanks.
