I've downloaded the newer versoin 2.0 from the website
but the file will not extract. The self-extracting file
is in the program files and prompts you through all
commands for installation, but after you click the
final "finish" prompt, it does nothing. I can't figure
out how to get the file open. I can only open the other
Windows Movie Maker I already have. HELP!!
.Hello.I had the same problem in the past with my
Windows XP 2.4 MHz.I did recovering of the system (as you
now,while you start the computer,during 5 sec. by
pressing F10,you get the recovering systeme opened and
you can have 3 options to do it:non-distractive,semi-
distractrive and the distractive one.So,i've choose the
semi-disrtructive recovering,and Windows have made back
up of my files and were reinstalled again.After this i
got no problems to install a new version Movie Maker 2 on
my computer.I guess,while serfing on internet,i've got a
kind of a trojan horse in my system or some up-created
virus,but it took about one night for my to reinstall my
programs and specially-i've started with installation of
the antivirus programm against"Mydoom32"(i have the scan
and the patch of this programm donwloded on my pc,so,i
didn't connect internet to downlod the patch,but while
doing this,if your system runs not to fast or internet
connection is not fast also,you don't have any time to
finish it)and further,i have downloded all updates for
Windows XP and i went with installation on.I hope i've
typed clear enough to undestand my english mixed with a
bottel of French wine and i wish you hope to come out
with this small distubings on your pc.By-
