Is there something in particular that I need to do to get
my PC to recognize all of the installed ram? I have 512
installed, but it seems to see only 64! Am running
Windows XP Home Edition on a P4 1.9GHz machine.

What are you doing to "see" the installed RAM? What program?

Jim, are you perhaps 'seeing' the Video RAM which can be displayed as the PC
first begins to boot up?
To see the System RAM, right click My Computer, click on Properties. RAM is
listed at the bottom of the General Tab (opened by default).

Hope this helps,

Open Control Panel - System - General and look near the bottom of the
Windows for the RAM available to Windows.

What is being reported there?
