Hi.

I have a show I have set up as show type "Browsed by an individual using
powerpoint 2003. Under page setup I have set the Slides sized for: to
custom. The width I have set up as 33 and the height as 8.26 in landscape
orientation.

At first the slides adapted to the size I requested. When I re-opened the
file the page setup was no longer as I had left it. I would say it was in
regular 8 1/2 by 11.

Any ideas anybody? I have went back and checked the page setup settings and
saved again, but it stil is back to about 8 1/2 x 11.

You would need to save as > powerpoint template*.pot and name the file blank
to set this default AFAIK

Is this something you need to do for just the one file or (as John's answer
addresses) for all new files you create?

If it's just the one file, I'd have these questions:

- you say "I would say it was in regular ...". Did you check Page Setup? That
would tell you for certain. No need to eyeball it. ;-)

- you're absolutely certain you saved over the old file? no insult intended
here .. I do this all the time; open a file from one place, save back to
another accidentally, then open the original and wonder what happened to all my
changes. What happens when Senior Moments start running together? Scary.
