not responding

almost every time i get in brackets [not responding]..why would this be
happening have i done something wrong

You are probably getting a little bit anxious. Most of those problems would
probably go away with some additional RAM memory, and a little patience. The
Windows XP system has grown tremendously over the years. What was an
adequate amount of RAM a few years back, is woefully lacking today.

What specific action in what specific program or programs? How much RAM and
how much disk space do you have available?

Without any additional specific information, I am guessing that you have a
program or application that is hanging, and when you hit CTRL+ALT+DELETE,
that particular application shows "Not Responding".

As already mentioned, the first thing to do is to sit tight for several
minutes and see if the program eventually responds. If it does, you might
want to consider additional RAM for your computer, as already suggested. If
it appears that the application is going to hang up indefinitely even after
waiting, then we can go from there with additional information.

Yes. Put in a new paper roll and clean out the holder.
