Hi,

While i was working on my powerpoint presentation with voice recording,
music and pictures, my powerpoint program crashed. So i restarted my
computer, and tried to open the powerpoint program.
I soon recieved a blank screen and a notification saying that powerpoint is
not responding, and i would have to ctrl/alt/del to exit the program.
I really don't want to back up all my files, and reinstall the program, but
if i must, i must.

Any suggestions?

That shouldn't be necessary.

First, power off the computer completely, let it sit for a few minutes, then
start it up again. See if PPT will start now.

If not, put the install CD/DVD in the drive and let it launch Setup.
Setup should detect that Office is already installed and offer to do some kind
of maintenance or repair installation (what you get depends on the version of
Office; you don't mention that, so let us know; but for now, no matter ... it
should be obvious which option to choose). The maintenance install will
attempt to replace any damaged files with fresh copied from the CD, reset any
need registry entries and such. It won't delete any of your files.

If that still doesn't sort the problem out, there may be a problem with
corrupted config files; let us know what version you have or have a look here:
