not responding

Keep getting the "not responding message"??? No other program gets this
message anymore. Program works just delays with the error message.

Tried both links on my Hp Media Center PC m8034n running Vista Ultimate. The
machine would not accept either of the updates Carey mentioned. The 'Not
Responding' gremlin appears often and randomly on web pages, internal pages
etc.

I don't remember this issue some months ago. My Compaq Presario running
XP-SP2 does same thing. The only think they share in common is a D-Link
router, over which is a 'Network Magic' software to manage network.

According to 'RegMagic', it will solve 'Not Responding" Not in this universe!

I'd appreciate your deep thinking and wizard-like solution.
