Using Access2000 I have linked tables from SQL Server. I open the small
tables fine (<100 Records). When I open a larger table I get a blank table
window or a blank table window with the record select buttons. If I go to
Task manager I get a Not Responding message. Likewise if I try to run a
basic query with a alrge table after an obsecene amount of time I will have
records show up and can barely move around (30 sec to 5 min response per
click) Again task manager Not Responding moving around slow. Any
suggestions???

Does the same thing happen when you access these tables using Query
Analyzer?

What do you mean exactly by "linked tables"? If you have a MDB file with
linked tables to SQL-Server as your database frontend, then you are in the
wrong newsgroup. This newsgroup is about ADP files - not MDB files - and
the answers that you will get here will be related to ADP.

As for a suggestion, a possibility could be that you have some large images
(or OLE or BLOBs) fields in your tables and that these fields are before
your primary key field in your Select statements. With images and other
BLOB (Binary Large OBject) fields, it's never a bad idea to put them at the
end of your Select statements and to forget about things such as SELECT * .
