Not Recognizing Extension *.edu

On my laptop, I am trying to access a couple of my
campus's websites, ie www.gatech.edu. However, it sends
me to some webpage: Xpress Power Search Network

I then tried several other gatech.edu websites and then
tried other colleges, ie. www.mit.edu, which all had the
same result.

I'm guessing that my browser is not recognizing the
extension *.edu, but I'm not sure. I don't have any
problems viewing sites with extensions *.com, *.net,
*.mil, *.gov, *.org. Only problems with *.edu.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

It took me a minute to put that to a parasite, but here goes ;)
