Not receiving mailer-daemon message for aborted sent message

Why am I no longer receiving mailer-daemon notices for messages which failed
to be sent?

How do you know the message failed to be sent?

I checked with the "receiver" and was told that it had not been received. I
tried again to send it and the same thing happened. She never received it.

This is most inconvenient and brought me a lot of grief so I count on your
help. Thank you.
 
One possible explanation is that the missing message was caught by a
spam filter, either at the recipient's mail server or by the recipient's mail
program. Have the recipient check their webmail spam folder and the
spam folder in their mail program.

If you are able to send successfully to other recipients and to yourself,
that means your mail program (Windows Mail?) is working properly.
