Not RECEIVING mail

My web mail is not opening in VISTA Mail. I have spent hours with Norton and
my ISP, and each says everything is fine, but I have four addresses and only
one received 2 messages in two days. Both today, one was a trial that I sent
and it sent it four times. Never sending any more. Help?

Windows Mail cannot access webmail accounts, only POP & IMAP.
Windows Live Mail can only access POP, IMAP & Hotmail accounts.

What do you mean by "Vista Mail"?

Do you mean Windows Mail?
Windows Mail is not compatible with most
McAfee and Norton antivirus programs. Those will need to be
uninstalled, NOT just disabled.

After uninstalling your non-compatible antivirus, download
and install a more compatible antivirus like:
AVG free edition:
http://free.grisoft.com/doc/5390/us/frt/0?prd=aff
or
Avast free edition:
http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html

With either of those, during the install phase you must select custom
install, and then deselect the email scanning option.

Dave, By Web Mail I mean Cox "Web Mail" which is server something
....pop.cox.west....and smpt.cox.west...I think. And by "Vista Mail" I mean
Windows, which now I have the stupid Vista, in which it seems to be called
"Mail." And no matter what names I use, some of them not nice, my mail is
stuck on the Cox Internet "Web Mail" and I can no longer access it from
Windows, or Vista, or Mail and I can no longer organize and save my mail in
my folders. I really need to find help to fix this, and since I'm about in
tears trying to do it myself...who can I call?

Actually your email comes in to a Cox server, which you can access via
webmail (with a browser) or you can access with an email program, like
Windows Mail. Like 2 doors into the same room.

From looking at the Cox support page, if you are in CA or AZ, then the
server names are
pop.west.cox.net
smtp.west.cox.net

They have a page for setting up Windows Mail, but I can't provide the link,
as it's not on a static page.
It's located under High Speed Internet - Email - Windows Mail
