I have a user who is not getting her mail messages until she goes to create
new mail messages. I have set her send/ receive time to one minute. Messages
that are in her exchange mailbox build up and than don't show up until she
goes to create a new message.
We're running Outlook XP is the front end client and we're running exchange
server 2000. She is keeping her mail on the server and than moving it to a
local PST file every few days.

Any new firewalls/devices in place that may be blocking UDP packets, if she
logs onto another machine does the same thing happen. Is SBS involved and
what SP is on Outlook

There is nothing that has been recently installed on her system that would
block UDP ports. I checked and made sure they were open (I'll need to track
down the KB article number; it's not here in front of me.). She's on XP SP3.
There haven't been any patches released recently so I'm pretty sure that
didn't break it.

What about if she logs onto another machine

The real problem is the 1 minute settings. You cannot have Check for Mail set
to less than 5 minutes or the server cannot reset itself. Set it for every 5
or10 minutes and problem will go away.
