Not read message

Outlook keeps showing "Message not read" from a user's box. It is Outlook
2003 on a win2k system. I have gone into options and removed the check on
the box to display the notify message. Symantec anti-virus shows clean.
What can be done to stop this? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

where is your problem?
The person dont read your mail and you get an information about that!
 
The problem was not "A" message. There were several hundred "MESSAGE NOT
READ" showing up in the inbox of a user at work. This kept repeating from
the same people that did read the messages.. It went on for two days. There
did not show to be a virus, and the box was un-checked to show the "NOTIFY".
The message "NOT READ" should not have been there. The problem was, what
would have caused this..
