Not opening more than one instance of the database

Hi

Using Access 2003

I have a .mde which the users click on to open the database. Front End/Back
End configuration.

All I want to know is, if one instance is already running of the database
and the user clicks on the desktop icon to open it again (as they didn't
realise one copy is already running), how can I ensure that I just maximize
the already opened version without opening another copy?
